EDUCATION INFORMATION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA (EISN) TRIBUTE TO PROFESSOR ABDULGANIYU AMBALI, OON (29 November 1957 – 6 June 2026) The Education Information Society of Nigeria (EISN) joins the University of Ilorin, the academic community, and the entire nation in mourning the passing of Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali, OON, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and a distinguished scholar of international repute. Professor Ambali was an exceptional academic, administrator, mentor, and visionary leader whose contributions to higher education in Nigeria will remain unforgettable. His tenure as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin from 2012 to 2017 witnessed remarkable growth in academic excellence, institutional development, research advancement, and student welfare. His humility, discipline, accessibility, and commitment to service earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues, students, and stakeholders across the country. As a renowned veterinarian, educator, and nation-builder, Professor Ambali dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge, excellence, and the development of future generations. His enduring legacy will continue to inspire scholars, administrators, and students for many years to come. The Education Information Society of Nigeria celebrates his remarkable life and invaluable contributions to education and national development.
