IMPORTANT UPDATE ON NERD COMPLIANCE STATUS FOR PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS (PCMs) Edu Information Society of Nigeria (EISON) The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) wishes to draw the attention of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to the following important updates: 1. Temporary Waiver for Certain Categories Students such as Medical students who are reported not having projects or theses as statutory requirements will be allowed to proceed under a temporary waiver. They are expected to fulfil the requirements and complete all processes before the end of their service year. 2. NERD Clearance Exemption Under Oath A special provision will be included in the student dashboard to allow all affected students to process NERD clearance exemption under oath. 3. Clearance Slip Requirement NERD Clearance Slip may thereafter be required before the issuance of the final NYSC certificate after completion of the NYSC programme, or at some point during monthly clearance. 4. Principle Can Be Extended As this is the first time enforcement has commenced, the principle may be extended to other students with partial compliance and other related errors.
