📢 JAMB ADVISORY MANDATORY USE OF THE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (NIN) FOR REGISTRATION WITH JAMB BY CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR NON-REGULAR PROGRAMMES BY EDUCATION INFORMATION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB) OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR REFERENCE NO: 2024ff.04 DATE: 6TH MAY, 2024 This advisory is issued to all concerned institutions and candidates seeking admission under the non-regular mode of study in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. JAMB has mandated all applicants seeking admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) while registering for any programme of study, whether regular or non-regular. The directive applies especially to candidates seeking admission through: • NOUN • Distance Learning • Part-Time Programmes • Sandwich Programmes Candidates are required to create a profile code before registration by sending their NIN through their unique phone number to either: • 55019 • 66019 IMPORTANT GUIDELINES 1️⃣ After profile creation, candidates are to proceed to accredited CBT centres for registration. 2️⃣ Candidate details will appear on CAPS for institutions to process non-regular admissions. 3️⃣ Institutions will recommend qualified candidates to JAMB for approval. 4️⃣ Approved candidates can accept and print their admission letters online. 5️⃣ Previous candidates in non-regular programmes who have not integrated their NIN with their phone numbers must also create profiles using their NIN. 6️⃣ No candidate can alter already submitted information through unofficial means. 7️⃣ Candidates are advised to register with JAMB before approaching institutions for admission processing. ⚠️ PLEASE BE GUIDED FOR COMPLIANCE. 🎓 EDUCATION INFORMATION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA “Education is Power”
