EDUCATION INFORMATION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA Monthly Bailout Support for Minor Offenders at Maximum Custodial Centre, Kirikiri Lagos The Education Information Society of Nigeria continues its humanitarian and social intervention programme through the monthly bailout support for inmates involved in minor offences at the Maximum Custodial Centre, Kirikiri (Kiriki Prison Yard), Lagos State. This initiative focuses on assisting less privileged individuals detained for minor offences such as task force-related cases, street trading violations, inability to pay fines, and other non-violent minor offences. The programme was established to support rehabilitation, reintegration, and social recovery for vulnerable individuals who deserve a second chance to rebuild their lives positively within society. Objectives of the Programme Support inmates detained for minor offences. Assist less privileged individuals unable to pay court fines. Reduce overcrowding in correctional centres. Promote rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Encourage positive life transformation and empowerment. Provide humanitarian support to vulnerable citizens. The Nigerian Correctional Service, Lagos State Command, approved and supported the initiative in recognition of its humanitarian value and contribution to community development. Humanitarian Focus The initiative demonstrates compassion and social responsibility by helping individuals regain freedom and reconnect with their families and communities while encouraging lawful and productive living.
