1️⃣ CAPS VIOLATIONS: INSTITUTIONS RISK SUSPENSION OF LICENSES
The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, warned tertiary institutions against abusing the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). Institutions involved in admission irregularities may face stiff sanctions and possible suspension of operational licenses.
2️⃣ FG REVIEWS ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR EDUCATION & NON-TECHNOLOGICAL AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMMES
The Federal Government has reviewed admission requirements for candidates applying for NCE, OND, and agricultural education programmes. Candidates into these programmes may no longer be required to sit for UTME, but must still register with JAMB for proper screening and admission processing.
3️⃣ PROF. OLOYEDE PRAISED FOR HIGH STANDARDS IN JAMB
The Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, commended JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede for setting outstanding standards in educational administration and examination management.

Senators Dandutse and Shuaibu applauded the achievements and leadership style of Prof. Ishaq Oloyede in improving transparency and integrity within JAMB operations.
5️⃣ JAMB CONDUCTS UTME FOR FOREIGN CANDIDATES
JAMB successfully conducted the 2026 UTME for Nigerians and foreign candidates across designated international centres.
6️⃣ UNIJOS WINS N500 MILLION NATAP-M AWARD
The University of Jos emerged winner of the 2026 National Tertiary Admission Performance Merit (NATAP-M) Award and received a N500 million mega prize.
7️⃣ JEOG HOSTS STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT ON UNDERAGE ADMISSION
JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG) organised a stakeholder engagement programme on underage admission into tertiary institutions, focusing on educational support for exceptionally brilliant students.
