Building Youth Resilience Against Crime Towards a Safer Nigeria
The Education Information Society of Nigeria, in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force and the Eagle Crime Awareness and Prevention Initiative (ECAPI), organized a public enlightenment and youth empowerment programme aimed at reducing crime and promoting a safer society.
The programme focused on creating awareness among Nigerian youths, especially vulnerable young people living on the streets and under bridges, by encouraging positive engagement, education, empowerment, and crime prevention initiatives.
Programme Objectives:
Build youth resilience against crime and social violence.
Educate young people on the dangers of criminal activities.
Promote peace, discipline, and responsible citizenship.
Support rehabilitation and empowerment for vulnerable youths.
Strengthen collaboration between the police, educators, and communities.
Encourage skill acquisition, education, and self-development.
Key Message:
“Take them off the streets/under bridges and empower them against crime.”
The event emphasized that proper guidance, education, mentorship, and empowerment can help transform lives and reduce insecurity within society.

The programme featured notable officers of the Nigeria Police Force, education stakeholders, community leaders, and members of ECAPI who shared valuable insights on crime prevention, youth development, and national security.
