BREAKING NEWS Professor Segun Aina has been appointed as the Registrar-designate of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). At 39 years old, he becomes JAMB’s youngest Registrar and one of Nigeria’s youngest Professors of Computer Engineering, having previously served as a Professor at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). His background reflects a blend of academia, technology, and public administration. Current Appointment: He was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead JAMB, succeeding Professor Is-haq Oloyede. Academic & Technical Background: Professor Aina is a Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University. He holds advanced academic qualifications and has served as a consultant to examination bodies including NECO and NABTEB. Professional Affiliations: He is a registered member of: Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) He also completed the Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School and has over 15 years of professional experience contributing to examination reforms and systems optimisation in Nigeria.
