2026/2027 ADMISSION INTO COLLEGES OF EDUCATION

𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔 (EISON) 2026/2027 ADMISSION INTO COLLEGES OF EDUCATION The Federal Government has released a new policy on admission into Colleges of Education in Nigeria. This policy excludes candidates seeking admission into Colleges of Education from sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) with effect from the 2026/2027 Academic Session. However, candidates are to upload their results into the JAMB portal for the processing of their admissions. KEY HIGHLIGHTS Candidates who earlier chose Education programmes to enter into 100 level under universities affiliated programmes in Colleges of Education are to be redirected to the Colleges as the dual mode (3 years NCE and 2 years degree) commences from the 2026/2027 Academic Session. Students who were earlier admitted for affiliated degree programmes in the Colleges (200 level and above) are to continue with their academic activities and graduate under the existing system.
